The Compound Ramp Park in Harvey, LA
“Over here at the Compound, we specialize in BMX and skateboards. We tend to stay away from fads (scooters or those rocker bikes) or inferior products that do not belong in the industry. Why, you might ask? We want you to have the most positive experience on your bike or board, and we install all products purchased from us for free. So we don’t have the time to be constantly working on not up to par products. We support companies that make quality products. This is where Blackout comes into play. They keep us stocked on quality BMX products at the best prices. Here are a couple things that Blackout does that we really like! The sales team lets us know if any items we ordered are not available, so we can add or change our order before it’s shipped out (s/o to Roman and Chris R). Most companies just ship it out and you’re left to discover half your order didn’t come in after your order comes in. Their online store is very up to date as far as stock availability. They carry so many products it’s too easy to make an order for the shop. They distribute Etnies shoes, which is so awesome because you can just order one pair at a time instead of the scary size run that most shops don’t do too well with and then having to get rid of those crazy shoe sizes and colors associated with a huge size run order. One last thing, I had the privilege of growing up in my father’s bike shop which specialized in BMX, and as a second generation bike dude you can’t have a solid shop without Blackout.”
We want to thank everyone for coming out this weekend and checking out our home. Chris Doyle from Kink BMX won the ping pong tournament and Dave Gnarapha from RASP won the bunny hop contest. Everyone got to buy some great products at outrageous prices, ate some food and had some drinks. We had a great time with all of you and hope you can say the same. Check out a couple of photos below and be jealous if you didn’t make it out. If you have photos from this weekend please post them on instagram and tag us @blackoutbmx, @kinkbikes, @raspskatepark and #blackoutbmx, #kinkbmx and #rasp!

Port Orchard Extreme Sports in Port Orchard, WA
“Just a couple months before the Port Orchard outdoor park was being built, “Port Orchard Extreme Sports” opened for business! Being a BMX and Scooter only store, things just took off. We have been very successful because we order what we can sell in a months’ time. We like to have new stuff coming in every day so our customers can come in and see something new every time they walk into our shop. We like to change it up every couple of weeks and move everything around in the shop. By moving everything around it keeps the shop unique. Our Shop features a couch and TV for customers to come in and hang out. We also have a Kink BMX Mirror that a lot of my customers are noted for taking “Selfies” in. We tend not to charge labor fees on bikes we sell this incudes’ repairs. We tend to get more business in the long run by doing this. We also have a Park team and Race team all of our riders support the brands we sell and most of them help out new riders. Blackout has been a huge part of our business and we would not been where we are today without them!”
